Overview:
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to manage and coordinate overseas accounting operations, MIS reporting, reconciliations, and financial communication with international branches. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with overseas stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, timely reporting, and smooth coordination across teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Accounting Coordination:
- Coordinate with overseas branches to ensure complete accuracy in accounting records.
- Handle clarification requests from international teams regarding transactions, policies, or accounting entries.
- Ensure smooth coordination and alignment between branches on accounting-related matters.
- MIS Closing & Management Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS (Management Information System) reports.
- Ensure timely closing of accounting books.
- Deliver reports on key financial metrics to management.
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting requirements.
- Internal & External Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the local team and overseas branch heads for all accounting clarifications and issues.
- Ensure clear, structured, and professional written and verbal communication within the team and with external counterparts.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and international stakeholders.
- Reconciliation & Customized Reporting:
- Perform reconciliations of accounts, banks, inter-company balances, and related financial records.
- Prepare and manage customized reports as required by management.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and reconciliations.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 8 – 10 years of relevant experience in a freight forwarding company (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially in a cross-border or
international branch environment. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for preparing reports and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to clearly draft, explain, and understand accounting and financial information.
- Strong coordination and collaboration abilities.
- Comfortable interacting with overseas stakeholders and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Candidate must be based in or around Mumbai (local candidates preferred).
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period not exceeding 1 month will be preferred.
